UCAS Clearing Information

Choosing your course

Clearing can be a hectic time, but it’s important you make the right decision when accepting a place on a Higher Education course because you are committing to studying for 2-3 years.

You should check that you meet the minimum clearing entry requirements for the course you wish to apply for and that you are happy overall with the content of the course and its progression routes.

Applicant Eligibility

The applicant must:

  • Turn 18 before the first day of the academic year
  • Inform us if they have commenced studies at another Higher Education institution, either in the UK or elsewhere. If they have, they will need to provide a reference and a transcript from their current institution.
  • Hold a full level 3 qualification, international qualifications need to have their qualification/transcripts translated into English
  • Students who do not hold GCSE English & Maths grades A-C (or equivalent) will be asked to sit an assessment

Supplying false information will result in non-admittance to the College.

We can only deal with clearing applications by telephone or face-to-face and we will need to speak with the applicant.

Our Admission Team will ask for the following information:

  • Are you in clearing?
  • Are you currently holding offers from other colleges or universities? We can only consider your application if you are not holding offers from other universities/colleges
  • Do you hold a full level 3 qualification? International qualifications need to have their qualification/transcripts translated into English
  • Your UCAS personal ID
  • Your full name
  • The course you are interested in
  • Your qualifications
  • Your UCAS history - for example if you have applied to Mont Rose College before? Which other university(s) have you accepted offers from?
  • Your fee status (whether you are a home or overseas student for fee purposes)
  • Contact telephone number(s) and an email address
  • Any special needs or disabilities

Supplying false information will result in non-admittance to the College.

What will happen next?

Based on this information our admissions team will assess whether or not we can offer you a place.
