On the 19th of May 2017, Mont Rose College HND Hospitality Management students attended The Institute of Hospitality, London Careers Fair 2017 at the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, St. James’s, London, SW1Y 5ED. The event was to help our alumni and current students to explore future career options in the Hospitality Industry.
MRC students met some of the best employers from the UK in Hospitality, Tourism and Events sectors and explored job opportunities. The participating organizations were Ritz London, Firmdale London, The Dorchester Collection, The Edition, L’Oscar, Omni, Hyatt Hotels, Cliveden House, Nadler Hotels, The Georgian House, Levy Restaurants, Shangri-La and much more.
The students also had the opportunity to listen to the inspirational and motivational speeches of four speakers from the Hospitality Industry namely:
Robert Nadler: Nadler Hotels, Robert is the CEO of a public company which he founded himself in 2006 named ‘The Nadler Kensington.’
Rak Kalidas: Rak joined Levy Restaurants UK in 2015 to support commercial projects. His role is diverse and utilizes his skills from various positions including the London 2012 Olympic Games catering.
Michael Gray: In 2004, Gray appointed as a General Manager of Hyatt Regency London. In 2007, Gray was named ‘Hotelier of the year 2007’ for the UK. Gray retired from Hyatt in 2016, after 34 years in the company.
Jurgen Ammerstorfer: Jurgen is the General Manager of the London Edition. He has a strong hospitality background within operational roles in both the rooms division and food and beverage departments.
The event was a rewarding experience for our students as it gave them a chance to come face-to-face and network with big corporations and employers from the Hospitality Industry.
