Mont Rose would like to welcome you all back to campus for the first time in a long time! At last, we are able to invite students back in for face-to-face learning.
At the moment, we are offering MRC students a mixture of virtual and face-to-face teaching to be as safe as we can. Here are some of the ways you can enjoy being back on campus (for some of you, it may even be your first time on an MRC site!).
Most students will be studying in Mont Rose House. So, now that you’re (partially) back on site, it is advisable to familiarise yourself with all that’s available here on campus. There are numerous facilities that you can take full advantage of during your time here. For example, on the Lower Ground Floor, students have access to games and tea, coffee and refreshments for when they’re on break.
Another aspect of Mont Rose that is better made of use in person is access to the different departments. Though all MRC departments were operating online during the pandemic, facilities such as the welfare department are better suited to face-to-face meetings where you’ll be able to talk with the welfare team personally and confidentiality. Student Services and the employability department are also available in-person now for students’ convenience.
Next, and most importantly for your academic success, computer rooms and library services are available on campus. There are computer rooms for you to use as well for research and assignment completion as well as library services. The IT and Student Services team is available to answer any queries in regard to use of computer and library services.
Lastly, for students to have an enjoyable and memorable time here on campus, it’s important to engage with all MRC personnel, everyone from tutors, to admin staff to fellow students! The idea of having a social life again is a huge bonus. Making and maintaining friendships can once again be done live in the flesh(!) instead of virtually. That in itself should be a reason why students want to come in and say hello to everyone on campus.
