Valentine’s Day is typically an extravagant holiday that celebrates all things related to love and romance. It falls on February 14th every year.
In its most traditional sense, Valentine’s Day is a Christian holiday that honours one or two martyrs, named Saint Valentine. The switch to a more romantic feel to the holiday happened around the 14th and 15th Centuries, a time when notions of courtly love flourished. Nowadays, Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love and affection amongst lovers and friends!
This year at Mont Rose College, we would also like to share our love and appreciation for all our students. We are excited to be holding our own Valentine’s Day event, right here in our Gants Hill campus, Mont Rose House.
Combining the holiday’s tradition with its more modern revels, we will offer our own feast to all students. We are welcoming all our students to spend some time over tasty treats, both warm and cold foods followed by scrumptious cookies and cakes! Most importantly, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the companionship of your fellow MRC colleagues.
We are also going all out with the decor, decking the canteen with flowers in all shades of pink and red, – it will be a sight you won’t want to miss so be sure to attend. Spread the love this Valentine’s Day with Mont Rose College. We look forward to seeing you there!
